About Steve Whitsitt
Your instructor Steve Whitsitt has been engaged in the appraisal of real estate since 1976. Specializing in the appraisal of commercial real estate, Steve has experience in a variety of appraisal assignments including residential, multi-family, office, retail, industrial, subdivision and land as well as special use properties such as churches and golf courses. He also has experience in various types of eminent domain proceedings including fee simple valuation and easement valuation. Other areas of experience include review appraisal, railroad line abandonment, underground easements and zoning and use studies.
Steve has been a member of the part-time teaching faculty at Parkland Community College teaching Residential/Single Family Appraisal as well as USPAP.
Steve Whitsitt holds the MAI and SRA designations of the Appraisal Institute and is a past-president of the Central Illinois Champer 160 of SREA (now known as The Appraisal Institute.) He is a State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser.
